Chinese universities are interested in cooperation with the Faculty of Oriental Studies of KazNU

On April 21, 2025, as part of the second international exhibition "Education in China and exams in the Chinese language in Kazakhstan," a delegation from more than 30 leading universities in China visited the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Representatives of Chinese universities visited the Confucius Institute at the university, and also got acquainted with the activities of the Faculty of International Relations and Oriental Studies.

Within the framework of the visit, a special meeting was held at which the head of the Department of Chinese Studies Yerzhan Kerimbaev presented the structure of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, educational programs implemented at the department, as well as the current state and prospects of cooperation with universities in China. Particular attention was paid to the issues of academic mobility, joint scientific projects and training in the field of Chinese studies.

The guests showed high interest in the presentation, actively asked questions to which Yerzhan Kerimbayev gave detailed and comprehensive answers. The visit of the Chinese delegation was an important step in the development of bilateral academic cooperation and strengthening partnerships between KazNU and leading universities of the PRC.
