Academic Mobility: KazNU Students’ Experience at Japan’s Leading University

On April 18, 2025, students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a happyoukai (発表会), presenting their experiences from academic exchange programs abroad. Students Bekbolat Miras, Rakhymzhan Malika, Sagymbek Aben, Klevtsov Dmitry, Bauyrzhanov Adilet, and Akimniyazov Ruslan shared their insights from studying at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (TUFS), Hokkaido University, Sophia University, and Kanazawa University.
The presentations were delivered not only to junior students but also to faculty members, providing insightful and engaging information about each university’s academic system, cultural environment, and student life in Japan. The talks sparked genuine interest and enthusiasm among the audience.
The event served as a valuable platform to promote academic mobility and exchange ideas about studying in Japan. It inspired both students and faculty members by offering practical insights and encouraging further international academic collaboration and participation in mobility programs.
