SDG-15: Environmental action “Darmarka” - a path to environmental responsibility
The “Darmarka” environmental campaign was successfully implemented at the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management of the University. The main goal of this event is to explain the current issues of environmental protection and efficient use of natural resources. In addition, to disseminate environmental knowledge and form a culture of conscious consumption in order to achieve sustainable development.
To achieve this goal, the “Association of Environmental Organizations of Kazakhstan” has launched the fifth stage of the “Stop Musor” social project since November 2024. The project is aimed at reducing household waste, raising environmental awareness of the population and strengthening a sense of social responsibility.
The “Darmarka” environmental campaign, in turn, was organized as a new and effective way to combat excessive consumption and the increase in waste. Participants in the campaign can offer their existing, but still usable, items to others and satisfy their needs. This approach, on the one hand, helps to give new life to things, and on the other hand, allows you to save resources and energy spent on the production, transportation and packaging of new products.
The "Darmarka" event not only encourages young people, students, and the community at large to protect nature, but also gives impetus to the formation of a culture of conscious consumption in society.
