The XIII Interuniversity Olympiad for the «ZhasTour» Cup was a success!

On April 25-26, 2025, the traditional XIII open interuniversity Olympiad for the «ZhasTour» Cup among students majoring in Tourism was held in Almaty at the Faculty of Geography and Natural Sciences of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The Olympiad was attended by 10 teams from higher education institutions of Almaty:

"Nomad Spirit" — Almaty Management University,

"Edelweiss" — Narxoz University,

"Alatau" — International Kazakh-Chinese Language College,

"Sunkar" — Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abay,

"Zhihankez" — Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abay,

"QyzPu Tour" — Kazakh National Women's Pedagogical University,

"Turanov Barsy" — Turan University,

"ATU Travel" — Almaty Technological University,

"Farabi Team" — al-Farabi Kazakh National University,

"ZhasTour" — Team of the club "ZhasTour".

The participants competed in the theoretical and practical stages, demonstrating their knowledge and skills.

At the theoretical stage, the teams defended their homework assignments, answered test questions, and performed situational tasks on providing first aid for team captains.

At the practical stage, the participants demonstrated their athletic and tactical skills in the tourist all-around.

The jury highly appreciated the students' preparation and creativity. According to the results of the Olympiad:

1st place – “Edelweiss” team (Narxoz University),

2nd place – “Zhihankez” team (Abai KazNPU) and “Nomad Spirit” (Almaty Management University),

3rd place – “Sunkar” team (Abai KazNPU), “Alatau” (Kazakh-Chinese College), and “QyzPu Tour” (Kazakh National Women's Pedagogical University).

The teams "Turan Barsy" (Turan University) and "ATU Travel" (ATU) were awarded special nomination certificates. The winners and participants were awarded cups, diplomas, letters of thanks and nomination certificates, as well as memorable prizes: trekking sneakers of the brands "Clorts" and "Gluna", discount certificates "Tobe" and other gifts.
