Congratulations on 3rd Place at the Republican Ecology Olympiad!

From April 28 to 30, 2025, students of the "Ecology" and "Environmental Engineering" programs proudly represented our university at the 17th Republican Student Subject Olympiad in Ecology, held at Gumilyov Eurasian National University.

After passing the preliminary selection round at the UNESCO Chair for Sustainable Development, the following students took part:

👨‍🎓 Kerimbay D.S., Makhambetova A.G., Ortay S.B. (Environmental Engineering program)

The Olympiad consisted of two stages — testing and scientific project defense. A total of 25 teams from different regions of Kazakhstan participated.

Our students presented the following projects:

🔬 "Use of Zeolites in Hydroponics as a Climate Change Adaptation Strategy"

🏢 "Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions Through Improved Thermal Insulation of Administrative Buildings"
(supervisors: Tusupova B.K., Kurbanova L.S., Khamitova K.K.)

🎉 According to the decision of the Olympiad committee, the Ecology program students were awarded 3rd place!
