Republican Seminar on the topic: "Media and Pedagogy: an Integration Model of Modern Education"

Faculty of Journalism of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted a Republican scientific and methodological seminar devoted to the 55th anniversary of Academician of the International Academy of Informatization, Corresponding Member of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Kazakhstan, member of the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan, Candidate of Philological Sciences Bauyrzhan Sabitovich Imangaliev, on the topic: "Media and pedagogy: an Integration Model of Modern Education".

The event was actively attended by leading scientists and teachers of Kazakhstani universities, media representatives and public figures. The seminar was moderated by the Dean of the Faculty of Journalism, Candidate of Philological Sciences Kanat Auesbaiuly and  Doctor of Philological Sciences, Full Professor Omirkhan Abdimanuly.

The seminar was opened by Kuanysh Talgatuly Tastambek, PhD, Director of the Department of Science and Innovation at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. He noted B.S. Imangaliev's contribution to the development of domestic literary studies and journalism. The rector of B. Beishenaliev Kyrgyz State University of Culture and Art, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Professor Tumonbai Rakhmanovich Koldoshov addressed the participants of the seminar online with a welcoming speech. He congratulated Bauyrzhan Sabitovich on his anniversary and assessed his role in the formation and development of Zhurgenov’s studies.

The presentations were made by Dean of the Philological Faculty,  Doctor of Philological Sciences, Full Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bayan Umirbekovna Zholdasbekova, Dean of the Historical Faculty, Higher Doctorate of Historical Sciences, Full Professor Dosbol Suleimenuly Baigunakov,  Doctor of Philological Sciences, Full Professor Omirkhan Abdimanuly, Head of the Department of Kazakhstan’s History, Higher Doctorate of Historical Sciences, Full Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bereket Bakytzhanuly Karibayev, Head of the Department of Kazakh Literature and Theory of Literature, Higher Doctorate of Philological Sciences, Full Professor Alua Berikbaikyzy Temirbolat, Candidate of Philological Sciences Samalbay Daribayuly. In their reports, they outlined the tendencies in the development of modern humanitarian science. The scientists evaluated the scientific works of B.S. Imangaliev, indicated the main directions of his research as a literary critic, researcher of Zhurgenov and journalist. Their reflections on the trends in the development of modern media ans artistic work, the main editor of the newspaper "Era of Kazakhstan" Ertai Aigaliuly, director of "Turkestan Media Holding" LLP Telman Beisen, the main editor of the magazine "Tansholpan" Nurlybek Samatuly.

This event is an example of collaboration between scientists of the socio-humanitarian sphere and journalists. It serves as an impetus for the development of interdisciplinary research and strengthening partnerships between faculties, universities, and the media.
