The "Farabi Sazy" Orchestra Participated in the City Student Festival "Jas Gala – 2025"

The city student festival "Jas Gala – 2025" has concluded in Almaty, with active participation from students of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The festival took place from March 5 to May 13, 2025, and was organized with the support of the Almaty Youth Policy Department and the "Alliance of Almaty Students."

More than 2,900 students from 27 universities and 25 colleges in Almaty submitted 608 applications to participate. The prize fund amounted to 7,500,000 tenge. The festival was dedicated to several important commemorative dates: the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the Year of Working Youth, the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, the 100th anniversary of Nurgisa Tlendiyev, and the 95th anniversary of Shamshi Kaldayakov.

Students of KazNU showcased their talents in various categories such as vocal performance, choreography, mobile videography, instrumental music, and theatrical arts. Under the leadership of the talented artistic director Zita Svanbayeva, the "Farabi Sazy" orchestra won 3rd place in a competition that also included participation from professional music universities of the city.

The "Jas Gala – 2025" festival became a significant cultural event for Almaty’s creative youth, offering a platform for self-expression and professional growth.
