“Abai and the Turkic World: Language, Literature, and Culture”

To commemorate the 180th anniversary of the great Kazakh poet Abai, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Kastamonu University jointly organized the  International Scientific Theoretical Conference on the topic:  “Abai and the Turkic World: Language, Literature, and Culture.”

During the event,  the scholars provided a comprehensive analysis of Abai’s legacy, exploring the depth of his works and ideas. The plenary session began with a speech by Doctor of Philology, Professor Anar Bekmyrzakyzy, who delivered the congratulatory message from the rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The speaker also delivered  the  words of congratulation from  the Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh  National University  to  Professor Orhan Söylemez of Kastamonu University.

The plenary session featured insightful presentations by prominent scholars such as Dandai Ysqaquly, Anar Salkynbai, Najie Ata Yildiz, Magripa Eskeeva, Orhan Söylemez, and Ekem Ayan.

Abai’s vast intellectual and spiritual heritage remains a guide for future generations and a treasured asset of the Kazakh nation.
