Summer School for Chinese Students Successfully Concluded

On May 17, 2025, the Department of Chinese Studies at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University successfully concluded its summer school program for students from Nanjing Normal University (PRC). The educational program was conducted online and brought together 30 participants.

The course, titled "The Great Silk Road and Kazakhstan: History, Culture, and Connectivity", was designed in response to the interests and needs of the Chinese students. The program placed special emphasis on the history, culture, and traditions of the Kazakh people, which sparked significant interest among the international attendees.

During the course, students learned about the historical role of the ancient Silk Road, Kazakh beliefs and customs, national cuisine, traditional clothing, and folk games.

Students from Nanjing Normal University praised the high level of organization and expressed a strong desire to participate in similar programs in the future.
