Guests from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia were received by the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU), First Vice-Rector, Doctor of Law, Professor Yerkin Ermanuly Duisenov

On May 26, 2025, a training session for Arabic language instructors from the Republic of Kazakhstan and students of the Arabic Department at Al-Farabi KazNU officially began.

The project is being implemented within the framework of a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation signed between Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the King Salman International Academy for the Arabic Language (Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia).

The training includes participation from 25 Arabic language instructors from various universities in Almaty, as well as 30 students from the Arabic Department of the Faculty of Oriental Studies at Al-Farabi KazNU.

At the conclusion of the first day of the training, the Deputy Chairman of the Board and First Vice-Rector of Al-Farabi KazNU, Doctor of Law, Professor Yerkin Ermanuly Duisenov, received representatives of the King Salman International Academy for the Arabic Language — Dr. Afrah Al-Tamimi, Director of the Linguistic Corpora Department, and Uhud Al-Shalawi, Academy staff member.

The meeting was also attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Natalia Borisovna Yem, the Director of the Center for Arab Studies, Bayan Nursultanovna Zhubatova, and Candidate of Philological Sciences, Arabist Zhanetta Raimbekovna Seitmetova.

The parties discussed development prospects and opportunities for expanding various areas of Arabic studies at the university. The representatives of the Arabic Language Academy expressed their gratitude to the leadership of KazNU for the honor and hospitality extended to them and thanked them for supporting the organization of such an important international event.
