SDG-4: An anti-drug social video was filmed

An anti-drug social video was filmed at the initiative of the Bostandyk District Prosecutor’s Office of Almaty city. This project is one of the key initiatives aimed at preventing drug addiction among young people, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and enhancing legal literacy.
During the event, active students and volunteers of the university participated in the video shoot, demonstrating their civic engagement. The main message of the video is to encourage young people to stay away from drugs, reflect on the consequences of harmful habits, and appreciate the value of life.
The Prosecutor of Bostandyk District personally oversaw the process, held discussions with students, and conducted awareness sessions on the dangers of drug use. In addition, thematic informational leaflets were distributed, and an open dialogue was held with representatives of law enforcement agencies.
The finished video will be shown in schools and colleges across Almaty, as well as during various public and cultural events. The goal of the material is to convey the dangers of drug use more deeply to the minds of teenagers and young people.
Al-Farabi Kazakh National University continuously supports social projects that address key societal challenges. KazNU is not only a hub for education and science but also an environment that fosters socially responsible and proactive youth committed to the future of their country.
This event, held within the university walls, is one of the concrete steps toward building resilience among the younger generation against drug abuse. Similar initiatives are expected to continue on a regular basis in the future.
