KazNU team is the winner of the FICS 2025 competition

The student team of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, by special invitation, took part in the international startup competition "Search for Innovative and Creative Solutions", which was held in Baku (Azerbaijan).

The event was held at the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU).

The KazNU team included students of the Department of Mechanics Aitbai Nurkadam, Kalzhan Askhat, Nalibek Ramazan, Yesen Yelzhas. The scientific supervisor of the team was Birlik Sagitzhanov, senior lecturer at the Department of Mechanics.

The FICS 2025 competition was organized jointly by the Azerbaijan Technical University and the National University of Science and Technology of Pakistan (NUST). Talented students from all over the world participate in the prestigious international startup competition every year.

A total of 65 teams took part in the competition, presenting their innovative projects. Among them, the startup project of the KazNU team called "ROBOSPIDER" received special recognition and became the winner in the nomination "Best innovative Startup Project".   

Thanks to this victory, the KazNU team received a grant ticket to participate in the final stage, which will be held in Pakistan.
