Students from M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University completed academic field practice at Al-Farabi KazNU

On June 6, 2025, 3rd-year students of the educational program 6B05220 – Geography (Scientific) from the Higher School of Natural Sciences and Pedagogy at M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University visited the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University as part of their academic field practice.

The students were accompanied by their supervisors – Master of Science, Senior Lecturer Saule Rafailovna Nurtileuova and Senior Lecturer Aigul Zhaksybekovna Dairabayeva.

During the visit, the students were introduced to the faculty’s structure, modern laboratories, and educational-research base by the Head of the UNESCO Chair for Sustainable Development, Tursynkul Amankeldievna Bazarbayeva. The Kazakhstan-China Joint Laboratory was presented in detail by its director, Murat Kasymbekovich Kaskenov.

The students also toured the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Alley, where they learned about KazNU’s contributions to global sustainable development initiatives.

This visit contributed to strengthening academic collaboration between the two universities and broadening the students’ scientific and professional perspectives.
