Hike to the Butakovka Waterfall

On June 6 of this year, a hike to the Butakovka Waterfall was organized by B.S. Adilbay, a lecturer at the Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism, Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management. The event was held as part of the third Sustainable Development Goal: «Good Health and Well-being» and aimed to provide first-year students with practical training experience.

The Butakovka Waterfall is one of the most picturesque waterfalls in the Zailiyskiy Alatau and is located in the gorge of the same name. During the hike, first-year students became acquainted with the beautiful nature of the Small Almaty Gorge, explored scenic locations and other tourist trails, and received valuable information.
