Weathering the Sky of the Future: A Student Encounter with Kazaeronavigatsia

On June 10, 2025, the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted an inspiring meeting between students of the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology and representatives of RSE "Kazaeronavigatsia" - one of Kazakhstan’s leading organizations in airspace management and aviation safety.

During the meeting, the guests shared detailed insights into the structure of the enterprise, its key areas of activity, and the vital role of aviation meteorologists. Students learned about working conditions, internship opportunities, career growth prospects, and current job openings- including the qualifications required to join the team.

In a friendly and engaging dialogue, students gained a deeper understanding of the aviation meteorology profession, where scientific precision meets real-world responsibility. The representatives emphasized the importance of professionalism, reliability, and high-level knowledge in this critical field.

As a token of appreciation, branded T-shirts with the “Kazaeronavigatsia” logo were awarded to the best-performing students, as well as those whose thesis projects are focused on aviation meteorology. This symbolic gift served as a sign of recognition and encouragement from the organization.

Such meetings inspire, open new horizons, and remind us that meteorology is not just about predicting the weather-it’s about aiming high, calculating with precision, and contributing meaningfully to the safety of our skies.
