Batyr Tuleukhan Ulanuly, a 3rd-year student of the Department of Chinese Studies at the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, is currently undergoing an internship at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. According to the student, the internship has become a crucial step in his professional development and has given him a unique opportunity to observe the internal workings of Kazakhstan’s foreign policy institution.

During the first stage, he worked in the Department of Europe, where he contributed to the organization of international events and translation of official documents, including the official dinner menu for the President of Kazakhstan and the Prime Minister of Croatia. He also communicated with state bodies and prepared memos for foreign delegations such as representatives from North Macedonia and the Secretary-General of the European Council Alain Berset.

Later, Tuleukhan was transferred to the Department of State Protocol, where he now assists in the preparations for the upcoming "Eurasia + China" summit (5+1 format) to be held on June 17. His duties include accrediting diplomats, processing applications for individual identification numbers (IINs) for foreign representatives, and preparing halls for official meetings.

"I feel a great sense of responsibility and am inspired by the opportunity to be part of real international processes. This internship has strengthened my confidence in my chosen profession," said Batyr.

His internship at the MFA has not only been a valuable experience but also a concrete step toward his professional advancement as a young sinologist.
