On the eve of Kazakhstan Police Day, a meeting with students was held at the Faculty of Law of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The event was organized by the Department of Civil Law, Civil Procedure, and Labor Law.
Representatives of the Zhetysu District Police Department of Almaty visited the faculty:
🔹 Head of the Department for Educational and Personnel Work, Police Lieutenant Colonel Nazgul Zhakankyzy Kalykbaeva
🔹 District Inspector of the Local Police Service Department, Police Lieutenant Altynbai Kaldanuly Aliev
During the meeting, the guests shared practical experience, discussed the specifics of working in law enforcement, the importance of compliance with the law, and the development of legal awareness in today’s society. Special attention was paid to interaction between the police and citizens, and the promotion of legal culture among young people.
The relevance of the speech by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, at the extended meeting of the board of law enforcement agencies was emphasized. The Head of State stated that “ensuring public order, strengthening the rule of law, and increasing trust in the police are the foundation of national stability.” These words served as the key theme for discussions on the role of the police and the need for legal literacy among youth.
On behalf of the Dean of the Faculty of Law, letters of appreciation were presented to the guests for their active participation in educational and career-guidance efforts, and for contributing to students’ legal awareness and the development of a legal culture within the academic environment.
Such meetings help strengthen the ties between universities and government institutions, build practical legal understanding among students, and increase their motivation for a career in public service.
The Faculty of Law sincerely thanks the representatives of the Zhetysu District Police Department and looks forward to continued cooperation in training highly qualified professionals for Kazakhstan’s law enforcement system.
