Vocal Contest Prize Winner of Jas Gala 2025

The Jas Gala 2025 competition took place in Almaty — a major event aimed at supporting young talents in various fields of art. This year, students from educational institutions in Almaty participated in the contest. In the “Vocal” category, Zhenis Ermashev, a 4th-year student at the Higher School of Economics and Business of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, won second place, demonstrating a high level of skill and creativity. The competition became an important platform for the development of creative youth and the exchange of experience among students from different institutions.

The gala concert of the Jas Gala 2025 city student festival was held on May 13, 2025, at the Concordia Student Theater in Almaty. This event concluded the competition, which took place from March 5 to May 13, 2025, and covered five categories: vocal, choreography, mobile photography, instrumental performance, and theatrical arts.

The festival was organized with the support of the Almaty City Youth Policy Department and the Almaty Student Alliance. It brought together students from 27 universities and 25 colleges in the city, totaling 2,971 participants. The total prize fund amounted to 7,500,000 tenge.

The competition was dedicated to several significant anniversaries: the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the Year of Working Youth, the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, the 100th anniversary of Nurgisa Tlendiyev, and the 95th anniversary of Shamshi Kaldayakov.
