Lectures on Sustainable Development and Environmental Management

On June 27, 2025, an academic session dedicated to sustainable development and environmental management was held at the Kazakhstan-China Center of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The event brought together students and young researchers from KazNU and Xinjiang University (PRC).

The lecture block was delivered by UNESCO Chair for sustainable development  lecturers – Dr. Bayan Tussupova (Technical Sciences) and Dr. Guldana Minzhanova (Chemical Sciences).

The program covered the following topics:

1. Geoecological aspects of sustainable development

2. Case studies in sustainable development

3. Structure of Environmental Management System according to ISO 14001

4. Ecolabeling and its importance

The lectures were accompanied by discussions on global environmental challenges, the role of international standards in environmental governance, and the social responsibility of young professionals.
