"The 13th International Scientific Conference on 'Korean Studies in the Era of Information Technology'"

On June 27–28, 2025, the XIII International Scientific Conference titled "Korean Studies in the Era of Information Technology" was held at the Central Asian Institute of Korean Studies, located in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.

This significant international academic forum brought together renowned Korean studies scholars and young researchers from Central Asian countries, including Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, as well as from the Republic of Korea.

The faculty members of the Faculty of Oriental Studies at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University actively participated in the conference. They presented reports on current issues in modern Korean studies. The presentations covered a wide range of topics, including new methods and opportunities for using information technologies in teaching the Korean language and researching Korean literature and culture.

During the conference, participants discussed the future of Korean studies, the integration of the humanities in the digital age, and the strengthening of academic ties between the countries of Central Asia and the Republic of Korea.

The event provided a fresh impetus for academic exchange, the discussion of relevant scientific ideas, and the development of international cooperation.
