First-year students of the Department of Chinese Studies attended a leadership lecture entitled “Study the East, Be Amazed”, delivered by Erzhan A. Kerimbayev, PhD, Senior Lecturer and Deputy Head of the Department for Academic and Methodological Work.
During the lecture, students received valuable insights into the specifics and prospects of their chosen field of study. In addition, they were introduced to comprehensive information about China’s history, culture, economy, and contemporary geopolitical role. The lecturer presented concrete facts and examples aimed at stimulating students’ interest in their studies.
The session was held in an interactive format: students asked questions and discussed the current directions and prospects of Sinology.
