THE STATUS OF LANGUAGE – THE STATUS OF THE NATION

On September 5, 2025, at 15:00, in the 229 TDM conference hall, an event titled «The Status of Language – The Status of the Nation» was held in honor of the Day of Languages in Kazakhstan. The event was organized by the Department of Economics of the Higher School of Economics and Business, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The purpose of the event was to hold a meeting with students and youth on the theme «The Status of Language – The Status of the Nation» in accordance with SDG indicators 4 and 16, dedicated to the Day of Languages in our country.

Language is not merely a means of communication; it represents the history, culture, and spirit of every nation. The national language is the foundation of a people’s identity, a golden bridge connecting its past and future. Through language, knowledge, traditions, and values are transmitted from generation to generation. It fosters respect for the mother tongue among citizens, strengthens Kazakhstan’s spiritual unity, and enhances interethnic harmony.
