Lecturers of the Department of Chinese Studies took part in the concert dedicated to the anniversary of Xian Xinghai

      On September 3, 2025, at the invitation of Ms. Jiang Wei, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Almaty, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies M.Sh. Egamberdiev, Head of Department F. Orazakynkyzy, together with the faculty of the Department of Chinese Studies, took part in a solemn concert dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of the prominent Chinese folk musician Xian Xinghai.
      The event brought together representatives of the diplomatic corps, cultural and educational institutions, as well as figures of art. Works of the great composer, whose music became a symbol of China’s spiritual resilience, patriotism, and cultural heritage, were performed by renowned musicians.
      The presence of Kazakh scholars and oriental studies professors gave the event special significance, highlighting not only respect for China’s cultural traditions but also the commitment to fostering intercultural dialogue. Such initiatives strengthen cultural and humanitarian ties between Kazakhstan and China, open up new opportunities for academic cooperation, and expand the horizons of international partnership in education and culture.
