Alatau City will become the first digital city in Kazakhstan

The main issues of the Presidential Address "Kazakhstan in the era of artificial intelligence: current tasks and their solutions through digital transformation" were discussed with 3rd-year students of the educational program "6B04103 Economics". President Tokayev announced that Alatau City will become a new center of innovation and business, and it will report directly to the government. Kazakhstan has concluded multi-billion dollar agreements with global companies, including the one that participated in the construction of the Chinese technopolis Shenzhen. This company will help build the digital city of Alatau. Alatau City should become the first fully digital city in the region - from the use of Smart City technologies to the ability to pay for goods and services with cryptocurrencies. The city will personify the image of the future of Kazakhstan. The President’s message covers all SDG goals, including Goal 9: Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation, and Goal 11: Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.
