Meeting with a Star: A Creative Evening Bridging Art and Life

23 september, 2025

At the Faculty of Journalism of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, a creative meeting was held with the honored figure of Kazakhstan, laureate of the "Daryn" State Youth Award, renowned actress, singer, and TV presenter Aigul Imanbayeva.

The main goal of the event was to inspire future journalists, share valuable life and creative experiences, and reflect on current changes in the media industry. During the meeting, Aigul Imanbayeva spoke about her early steps in the arts, the challenges she faced, and her achievements. She sincerely answered students’ questions.

"Being a journalist is a great responsibility. You are the golden bridge between the people and the authorities, between artists and society. So strive to be professionals who uphold truth and justice. Blaming others for your lack of success is wrong. To achieve something, you must work tirelessly," said Aigul Imanbayeva.

The meeting took place in a warm, informal atmosphere. Students asked questions they were curious about and received valuable advice from the artist. Especially for those dreaming of becoming TV presenters or starting a career on stage, her experience and insights were truly inspiring.

At the end of the event, students expressed their gratitude to Aigul Imanbayeva and took memorable photos with her.

— Hearing poetry and songs directly from such a famous artist was an amazing experience. We learned many new and previously unknown facts. For example, Aigul Imanbayeva’s literary mentor was Dulat Isabekov, and in journalism — Klara Kabylgazina. At the end of the evening, journalism students performed beautiful songs, leaving behind warm memories. I hope such meetings with well-known personalities will be held more often, as they motivate students and give a clearer sense of purpose, — said Amina Orynbasar, a first-year student of the Faculty of Journalism.
