On September 21, 2025, the solemn opening of the 8th International “Silk Road” Exhibition took place in Dunhuang, Gansu Province, PRC. This large-scale event, organized by the People’s Government of Gansu Province with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the PRC, is held at the governmental level and traditionally brings together delegations from over one hundred countries, researchers, government officials, and members of the academic community. Kazakhstan was represented by the delegation of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, comprising: Zhuldyz D. Yesimova, Director of the Department for Social Development; Fatimabibi N. Daulet, Professor in the Department of Chinese Studies, a leading Kazakhstani sinologist;  A. Auelkhan, Leading Specialist at the Department for International Relations.

On September 22, as part of the International Forum of the University Alliance of Belt and Road, a conference was held devoted to issues of intercivilizational dialogue and the development of Chinese-language studies in the digital era. At the conference, Kazakhstani sinology was represented by Fatimabibi N. Daulet, who delivered a keynote address entitled “Problems and Prospects for Developing Chinese-Language Textbooks from the Perspective of Civilizational Mutual Learning.”
