The presentation of an illustrated edition of the Slavic Alphabet

On September 24, 2025, the Center “Russian Language and Culture” of the Faculty of Philology at Al-Farabi KazNU hosted the presentation of an illustrated edition of the Slavic Alphabet, initiated by the Russian House in Almaty.

The presentation of the Alphabet edition to the “Russian Language and Culture” Center took the form of a theatrical performance featuring fairy-tale characters from the popular animated film Masha and the Bear.

The staff of the Russian House introduced international students to the history of the Slavic alphabet and its special significance in culture.

Students prepared speeches and presentations dedicated to the linguistic diversity of the peoples of Kazakhstan and spoke about the importance of preserving cultural heritage.

As part of tradition, the Russian House in Almaty annually donates books, textbooks, and dictionaries to the Center, making a valuable contribution to the development of its educational and cultural activities.
