In September 2025, the Journalism Faculty held it’sfirst Academic Council meeting dedicated to the beginning of the new academic year. The meeting was opened by the Chairman of the Council, Faculty Dean Kanat Auesbaiuly, who delivered a report outlining the key goals and objectives for the upcoming period. The main directions of the faculty’s work were defined.

At the meeting, specific plans for academic, scientific, methodological, and educational activities for the 2025–2026 academic year were presented. Vice Dean for Academic, Methodological and Educational Work, Nelya Rushanova, introduced the academic plan, while Vice Dean for Scientific Innovation and International Relations, Altyn Akinbekova shared strategic plans to enhance the faculty’s scientific and innovative potential.
