Department of Recreational geography and Tourism participated in a Scientific seminar in Shanghai

Dr. L.S. Spankulova, Research Professor at the Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism, took part in an international scientific seminar held at Shanghai University. The event, organized by the School of Management, served as an effective platform for sharing experiences and discussing modern theoretical concepts in the field of regional inequality studies.

During the visit, Professor Spankulova L.S. presented the results of Project No. AP19679799, “Development of a Modified Methodology for Assessing Spatial Growth Factors and Overcoming Regional Disparities”. She actively engaged in discussions, exchanged insights with leading international scholars, and received valuable informational and methodological support from experts.

In addition to official meetings, informal discussions were also held with researchers on topics such as migration, demographic trends, and new approaches to comparative economic studies.

The established scientific contacts and strengthened partnerships open new opportunities for further collaboration and for deepening the department’s research activities.
