Delegation of Dalian Polytechnic University Visited the Faculty of Oriental Studies

     On September 29, 2025, representatives of Dalian Polytechnic University (China) paid an official visit to the Faculty of Oriental Studies at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

    The Chinese delegation was welcomed by Shynar Kanafyeva, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, and Yerzan Kerimbayev, Deputy Head of the Department of Chinese Studies.

    During the meeting, both sides discussed future directions of cooperation and partnership, including:

• implementation of student exchange programs;

• development of joint research projects;

• preparation of high-quality joint publications;

• introduction of joint educational programs at the bachelor’s and master’s levels.

     In addition, the Chinese side proposed internship opportunities for teachers of Chinese as a foreign language. The possibility for KazNU students and master’s students to undergo internships at Dalian Polytechnic University was also discussed.

      This meeting marked an important step in strengthening cooperation between Kazakhstan and China in higher education, opening up new prospects for scientific and educational initiatives.
