The workshop titled “Geoinformation Technologies – A New Trend in Modern Education” successfully took place.

On October 1, in honor of the Higher Education Workers’ Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a workshop titled “Geoinformation Technologies – A New Trend in Modern Education” was held.
The workshop covered methods of data integration based on geographic information systems, including maps, satellite imagery, drone surveys, and local measurements.

During today’s workshop, participants learned how to monitor the Earth using Sentinel satellites. It was demonstrated how to work with Sentinel-2 imagery with a 10-meter resolution. The use of satellite images for predicting 3D objects was also discussed.
