On the occasion of the Day of Higher Education Workers of the Republic of Kazakhstan,
staff of the Faculty of Medicine and Public Health at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, from the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Evidence-Based Medicine, delivered a thematic presentation on a highly relevant and strategic topic:

“Global Education — the Foundation of National Competitiveness”

The speakers:
 PhD Aizhan Muratovna Rauszhanova — Associate Professor, a recognized expert in evidence-based medicine
PhD Zinat Batyrkhanovna Abdrakhmanova — Senior Research Fellow at the KazNU Research Institute, a researcher with international experience

The presentation highlighted the outcomes of their scientific internship at one of the leading universities in the USA — Duquesne University, under the guidance of Dr. Faina Linkov. There, they conducted research on noncommunicable diseases (NCDs), studied global healthcare practices, and mastered innovative educational and research technologies.

Their work serves as a clear example of how integrating global academic experience can strengthen the scientific potential of national education and contribute to the development of human resources in medicine and public health.

The presentation generated great interest among colleagues and students, became a source of inspiration for further professional growth, and emphasized the vital role of international scientific mobility in enhancing national competitiveness.
