A 3rd-year doctoral student of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Department of Far Eastern Studies, completed an international research internship at the University of Tsukuba, Japan
A third-year doctoral candidate of the Department of Far Eastern Studies at the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Laila Nurseitova, has completed a research internship in Tsukuba, Japan. Her research focuses on “Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Japan within the ‘Central Asia + Japan’ framework.
During the internship, she conducted interviews with leading Japanese experts of international standing, as well as with Kazakhstani diplomats working in Japan, thereby collecting valuable insights and analytical perspectives. In addition, a survey was carried out among students and young scholars from Central Asia studying at the University of Tsukuba, aimed at examining their views on Japan’s cooperation with the region.
The collected data will serve as a foundation for further deepening the researcher’s academic work and will provide new perspectives on the development of Kazakhstan–Japan relations.
