Department of Mathematics held a meeting with newly admitted doctoral students

On September 12, 2025, the Department of Mathematics of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics held a meeting with doctoral students admitted this year.

Head of the Department, Syrym Yerkinovich, introduced the young researchers to the goals and main priorities of educational and scientific activities, emphasizing the importance of fundamental research and the practical contribution of science to societal development.

The Deputy Head of the Department Karlygash Almatkyzy explained the procedure for submitting documents and elaborated on the Research work criteria, highlighting the need to maintain academic integrity and ensure high-quality research. The meeting also included a discussion on adherence to the university’s academic policies.

This event contributes to the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 4 “Quality Education”, aimed at ensuring inclusive and equitable education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities. In addition, the discussion of scientific directions and priorities is aligned with SDG 9 “Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure”, emphasizing the role of research and innovation in sustainable development.
