Solemn Meeting Dedicated to the 90th Anniversary of Academician N.K. Bliev

At the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, a solemn meeting was held in honor of the 90th anniversary of Academician Nazarbai Kadyrovich Bliev — an outstanding scientist, teacher, and mentor of several generations of mathematicians.

During the ceremony, Academician N.K. Bliev was awarded the commemorative medal “90 Years of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University”, recognizing his decades-long contribution to the development of science and education in Kazakhstan.

Colleagues, students, and young researchers warmly congratulated the academician, emphasizing his significant role in training highly qualified specialists and in strengthening scientific schools in Kazakhstan.

The anniversary celebration of Academician N.K. Bliev is closely aligned with the values of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): SDG 4 (Quality Education): fostering new generations of highly skilled professionals and supporting scientific research; SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure): advancing fundamental science as a foundation for innovation; SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals): strengthening the scientific community and ensuring intergenerational continuity.

The event highlighted the importance of Academician Bliev’s scientific legacy and the vital role of sustainable education and science development in Kazakhstan.
