On October 3rd, 2025, the Faculty of International Relations of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a drawing competition under the theme "Sustainable Development Goals through the Eyes of Today's Youth," as part of the program of events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the United Nations and the 30th anniversary of the faculty. The competition was organized by the Academic regional resource center for information support about the UN. The event was dedicated to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with special attention paid to SDG 4 "Quality education," SDG 5 "Gender equality," and SDG 16 "Peace, justice, and strong institutions."

Students and young researchers took part in the competition, presenting artworks that expressed their vision of the SDGs through themes such as peace and security, human rights, environmental protection, the UN through the eyes of youth, cultural diversity, and gender equality. First-year students actively participated in organizing this creative process, which facilitated their involvement in the discussion of ongoing issues.

The event was held in a warm and inspiring atmosphere, encouraging participants to reflect deeply on major global issues. The best works will be selected and announced at a special event during the "Decade," where the winners will receive certificates and commemorative gifts from the Academic regional resource center for information support at the UN.

The competition has become a significant platform for students to share their ideas about the future of the world and sustainable development through creativity and by drawing attention to contemporary challenges on the global agenda.
