On October 8, 2025, within the framework of Sustainable development goal 14 "Conservation and sustainable use of the oceans, seas, and marine resources," the senior lecturers of the Department of Foreign Languages N.B. Mombekova, N.A. Suttibayev, A.B. Abylkassova, A.N. Akhmedova, A.T. Murzatayeva, A.S. Rezhep, S.A. Muldagalieva, and M.Zh. Nogaybayeva held a roundtable discussion at the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology. The event topic was "Save Our Seas."
The first-year students from various departments actively participated in the event.
During the roundtable discussion, the students raised questions on current issues affecting oceans and seas, such as "Marine biotechnology: how ocean life helps solve human problems," "Ocean acidity and climate change," "Sustainable fisheries: feeding the world without emptying the oceans," and others.
The roundtable was concluded with certificate- awarding ceremony to the participants.
