On October 7, 2025, the students of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies at the Faculty of Philology of Farabi Kazakh National University held a meeting on the topic “Good Always Triumphs Over Evil.” The event was organized within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal No. 16 – “Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions” – and aimed to promote justice, kindness, and mutual support among young people.
The initiative came from the students themselves, who prepared a discussion on an important social issue and created a social video addressing the problem of bullying. The video portrayed a situation of harassment where the main characters stood up for the victim, showing that compassion and courage can overcome cruelty and indifference.
The main goal of the event was to encourage students to take an active civic stance, show empathy, and be ready to stand up against injustice. The participants emphasized that every individual can become an example of kindness and moral strength, and that KazNU, as one of the country’s leading universities, advocates for justice, humanity, and mutual respect.
The event took place in a warm and inspiring atmosphere. After watching the video, students discussed real-life bullying cases and suggested ways to prevent such issues within the educational environment. The lecturers highlighted the importance of these initiatives, as they help instill moral values in youth and teach them not to remain indifferent.
Such activities contribute to developing social awareness and strengthen the belief that good truly has the power to make the world a better place.
