Excursion of First-Year Students of “Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages” to the Museum of Rare Books
The first-year students of the 106th group majoring in “Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages”, under the guidance of Arailim Akzhigitova, visited the Museum of Rare Books as part of their curator–advisor activities and in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goal “Peace and Open Society.” The main purpose of the event was to broaden students’ historical awareness, foster understanding of the principles of peace and justice, and cultivate respect for cultural heritage.
During the excursion, students explored unique exhibition halls dedicated to different historical periods. The Kültegin Hall displayed the rich heritage and ancient written monuments of Turkic civilization; the Alash Orda Hall reflected the struggle for independence and the pursuit of a just society; and the hall dedicated to Ybyrai Altynsarin, Shoqan Ualikhanov, and Abai Qunanbaiuly presented the spiritual foundations of Kazakh enlightenment.
Such activities enrich students’ spiritual worldview, promote intercultural understanding and tolerance, and enhance their sense of civic responsibility. They also help the younger generation to deeply comprehend the values of peace, justice, and an open society.
