Global journalism: exchange of professional and pedagogical experience

On October 5, on World Teachers' Day, the UNESCO Department of Journalism and Communication of the Faculty of Journalism hosted the republican scientific and methodological conference "Global Journalism: sustainable Development Goals and constructive public dialogue", dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Damegul Bayalieva and the 40th anniversary of scientific and pedagogical activity.
The moderator, Dean of the Faculty of Journalism Kanat Auesbayuly noted the global and national significance of today's festive event and stressed that our university has many faculty members who honorably carry out scientific and pedagogical activities.
In the first section "Sustainable Development Goals and UNESCO programs in the field of journalism", Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor Zhakip Bauyrzhan, Professor Akhmetova Laila, Head of the UNESCO Chair in Journalism and Communication Oshanova Oryntay noted the events organized to improve the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals in Kazakhstan, including those related to climate change, gender issues, media literacy, and special attention was paid to the work of educators in the field of education.
Utegen Oralbayuly, poet, publicist, cultural and social activist, Bolatbek Tolepbergen, General Director of Radio Shalkar, Adilzhan Banu, deputy editor of the republican newspaper «Egemen Kazakhstan», and Olga Lozhnikova, an employee of the local «Parasa»t trade union organization of KazNU employees, spoke at the 2nd section of the Сonference. They gave a speech about the role of the teacher in human life and education in general and also talked about the positive and negative impact of modern technologies on the teacher's activities.
