SDG 15 — «Life on Land»

11 october, 2025

On October 11, 2025, students of group 122, guided by Erkenaz Bazartaiqyzy, a lecturer from the Department of “Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law,” carried out a practical activity within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal 15 — “Life on Land.”

The main focus of this goal is to preserve forests, improve soil fertility, protect biodiversity, and combat land degradation, while promoting a harmonious relationship between humans and nature.

As part of the activity, students visited the Botanical Garden in Almaty. This research activity in a natural setting enabled students to explore the richness of plant life, understand the role of vegetation in ecosystems, and reflect on the human impact on the environment.

They studied various ecological factors that influence plant growth (light, water, soil, air temperature) and learned about plant biodiversity and their essential functions in terrestrial ecosystems.

By the end of the visit, students emphasized that preserving ecological balance is one of humanity’s key responsibilities. Practical activities like these enhance students’ environmental awareness and help shape a responsible mindset toward sustainable development.
