An environmental education training was organized
On October 13, 2025, a training on environmental education was held at the Faculty of Law of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University within the framework of UN Sustainable Development Goal No. 15 – “Life on Land: Protecting terrestrial ecosystems and promoting sustainable forest management”, and the “Farabi Greencampus: Clean University” project. The event was conducted as part of the “Environmental Law” course and actively involved students of the Faculty of Law.
The first part of the training took place outdoors on the university campus, where students received information about the importance of green spaces and the natural environment of the campus, as well as ways to protect ecosystems. Participants discussed environmental law regulations through real-life examples and explored the legal foundations of living in harmony with nature.
The second part of the training continued with a visit to the Almaty Botanical Garden. There, students learned about rare plant species and gained valuable insights into the importance of flora protection. In addition, a discussion was held on the activities of the botanical garden and its legal regulation within the framework of environmental legislation.
The event was organized by Acting Associate Professor of the Department of Customs, Financial and Environmental Law, G.K. Rasheva
