On October 7, 2025, a meeting took place at "CHINA-CENTRAL ASIA LAW ASCERTAINMENT AND RESEARCH CENTER – CHINA-KAZAKHSTAN LEGAL RESEARCH CENTER" between head of the Department of Customs, Finance and environmental law G. A. Kuanalieva , Temir Toktybekov, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Customs, Financial and Environmental Law, Director of the Kazakhstan-China Legal Center, and Professor Zhang Guangyao, a faculty member of the School of International Law at the Northwest University of Political Science and Law (People’s Republic of China).

Within the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No. 17 — “Partnerships for the Goals,” this initiative aims to strengthen scientific, educational, and cultural cooperation between Kazakhstan and China.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects and directions for joint research activities, issues related to the implementation of collaborative projects, and practical mechanisms for achieving the set objectives within the framework of bilateral cooperation.

In addition, as part of the visit, a tour of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan was organized, where participants became acquainted with the library’s collection, archival materials, and other academic resources of scientific and cultural value.
