On October 10, 2025, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted its traditional First-Year Students’ Welcome Event, held at a high organizational level. The event brought together all first-year students, master’s degree and doctoral students of the Department of Turkology and Language Theory, as well as the department’s senior advisor and the first-year group advisors.
The celebration featured a rich cultural program organized by the university. Students joyfully welcomed the new academic year and enjoyed a festive concert. The event was attended by Zhansseit Tuimebayev - Rector of KazNU, and Sayasat Nurbek - Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who delivered warm welcoming speeches.
During the official remarks, the university’s international achievements, its branches abroad, and partnership networks were highlighted. The concept of the future KazNU campus was also presented, accompanied by an inspiring video clip.
This welcome evening became a meaningful moment for new students, marking their first step into academic life. The event helped them adapt to the university environment, feel part of the academic community, and foster a spirit of unity.
