Inspiration Through Art: A Vist of the Students of Group 107 to the Almaty Museum of Arts

14 october, 2025

This week,   the first-year students of Group 107, majoring in “Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages,” visited the Almaty Museum of Arts, the first private contemporary art museum in Central Asia. The visit, organized under the guidance of their curator as part of advisory work, aimed to broaden students’ cultural outlook and nurture their creative thinking.

During the excursion, the students explored the works of renowned Kazakhstani artists such as Aisha Galimbaeva, Salikhitdin Aitbayev, and Moldakhmet Kenbaev. The museum’s exhibitions revealed how art reflects Kazakhstan’s history, traditions, and modern identity, while highlighting the role of artists in shaping national culture.

It was especially inspiring to see that the museum was also visited by young schoolchildren and foreign guests that day. This diversity of visitors created an atmosphere of cultural dialogue, where art became a universal language of understanding between generations and nations.

The visit contributed to the development of aesthetic taste, visual thinking, and critical perception of art. Discussing the paintings, students shared their impressions and reflected on how artistic images can convey ideas, emotions, and social messages.

Such experiences foster cultural literacy and contribute to the holistic development of personality. The visit reminded everyone that quality education extends beyond classrooms — it thrives wherever there is space for dialogue, creativity, and inspiration.

Organizer: Lecturer,  the first-year students'  advisor of the Department of Turkology and Language theory Adilkhan M. K.
