A Student of the Department of Chinese Studies Participated in an International Innovation Project

Zhang Qinghao, a 3rd-year student of the Department of Chinese Studies at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, took part in an international student innovation and entrepreneurship project held during the summer holidays in his hometown, Xi’an, China.

The event was organized by the Xi’an University of Finance and Economics with the goal of promoting Chang’an culture and introducing the rich cultural heritage of Central Asian countries to China. The project aimed to combine the historical legacy of the Silk Road with modern information technologies, thereby strengthening friendship among nations.

During the project, Zhang Qinghao introduced Chinese participants to the hospitality traditions of the Kazakh people and shared information about the achievements of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. In June 2025, his team won the gold medal at the university stage and advanced to the Shaanxi provincial round.

In August, at the regional stage organized by the Ministry of Education of China, the team won the bronze award. The project gave many Chinese entrepreneurs, professors, and students the opportunity to learn more about Kazakh culture and the educational system of Al-Farabi KazNU.

This initiative strengthens the friendship between China and Kazakhstan and serves as a reliable bridge of eternal partnership between the two nations.
