A STUDENT COMPETITION SUCCESSFULLY WAS FINISHED AT THE FACULTY OF ORIENTAL STUDIES
Today, October 15, a student competition announced as part of the international event "Arabic Language Month in Kazakhstan" was concluded. The competition was held at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University with the support of the King Salman Global Academy of the Arabic Language (KSGAAL) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The competition, held among students studying Arabic in Kazakhstan, featured three categories (Arabic calligraphy, expressive reading of Arabic poetry, and storytelling in Arabic) and helped identify talented students.

The competition was attended by students of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Egyptian University of Islamic Culture “Nur-Mubarak”, Abai KazNPU, The Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages and L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. All competitions were held in both offline and online formats. Reputable Arab scholars from universities and research institutes in Kazakhstan were invited to evaluate the students' work. A total of 102 students expressed their desire to participate in these competitions, with nine winners and 15 nominees for honorable mentions. The winners will be announced on October 22. The Secretary General of the King Salman Global Academy of the Arabic Language and the Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University will present them with special diplomas and prizes. These competitions have increased students' interest in learning Arabic and served as a push for understanding the Arabic language and culture.
