On November 18, 2025, an extracurricular field lecture on the discipline “Landscape Ecology” was delivered by Candidate of Geographical Sciences, Associate Professor T.A. Bazarbayeva for 3rd-year students of the specialty Ecology (Kazakh department).

During the lecture and seminar session, students became acquainted with the types of landscapes of Kazakhstan, the origin and transformation of which were vividly demonstrated using the example of the Medeu Gorge. The features of vertical zonation of mountain areas, as well as types of landscape-ecological studies aimed at preserving the integrity of ecosystems, were considered.

In the course of the session, students conducted visual observations of the natural components of the area and discussed the impact of anthropogenic factors on landscape structure. Special attention was paid to the issues of sustainable nature management and the preservation of natural heritage. Conducting such field lectures contributes to strengthening practical skills and deepening the theoretical knowledge of future ecologists.
