“Eurasian Network 2025” Korea-Kazakhstan forum held at Farabi University
The international Korea-Kazakhstan Forum “Eurasian Network 2025” was held at Farabi University, bringing together representatives of the academic and business communities of the Republic of Korea and the Republic of Kazakhstan. The forum served as an important platform for strengthening humanitarian and economic cooperation between the two countries.
The opening ceremony was moderated by Professor Lee Byung Jo of the Department of the Far East. Welcoming remarks were delivered by Lee Sarang, Chair of the Eurasian Network, and Mirzakhan Egamberdiev, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Farabi University.
The forum featured two thematic sessions: humanitarian and economic.
During the humanitarian session, participants discussed the historical and cultural ties between Korea and Kazakhstan, the role of the Korean diaspora, shared spiritual traditions, and the future of Eurasian identity.
The economic session focused on developing bilateral business cooperation. Discussions addressed trade, investment, logistics, agro-industrial partnership, and joint educational initiatives. The session featured speakers from leading Korean and Kazakhstani companies as well as experts in international business and academic collaboration.
At the conclusion of the forum, participants expressed their commitment to deepening cooperation in the fields of science, education, innovation, entrepreneurship, and cultural diplomacy. The event served as a significant platform for dialogue, exchange of experience, and the establishment of new partnerships between Kazakhstan and the Republic of Korea.
