Charity event within the framework of UN SDG №2 "Eliminating hunger"
On October 14, 2025, at the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, and Forensics of the Faculty of Law at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, under the guidance of Professor G.M. Atakhanova, a charity event was held as part of the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goal №2 — “Zero Hunger.”
Members of the student club “Ädilet” and students of group 215 participated in the event. The campaign aimed to raise awareness about hunger and social injustice issues, as well as to contribute to improving the welfare of the population.
The UN SDG №2 “Zero Hunger” focuses on ensuring universal access to safe and nutritious food, eradicating all forms of malnutrition, and supporting sustainable food production systems. Holding such initiatives within the university helps foster students’ conscious attitudes towards global challenges and engages youth in addressing social problems.
The main goal of the event was to show respect and support to those who work hard every day on the streets, performing physically demanding jobs and often going unnoticed in everyday society.
Students and members of the “Ädilet” club tried not only to provide them with hot food and tea but also to create an atmosphere of human warmth and emotional comfort.
Every warm word, sincere smile, and simple attention were expressions of gratitude to those whose labor makes the city cleaner, safer, and more comfortable. The event became not only a charitable activity but also a living lesson in kindness, empathy, and respect for people regardless of their social status or profession.
Such initiatives contribute to developing students' sense of social responsibility, humanism, and active civic stance, reflecting the mission of Al-Farabi KazNU as a university committed to implementing sustainable development ideas and promoting humanistic values.
